What can a bagel turn into?

Could be anything!

The team at Conscious Eats is curious!! Our partner Einstein Bagels generously donates their end of day stash to us. We are busy developing products that our employees can create and market. What's your idea?

We have a few but are interested in what you are thinking.

If you are curious about our creations come visit us at the King Street Market most Wednesdays, starting January 15th. 5-8 at Intuition Ale Works.

If you place a comment here, we will give you a free treat to taste!!

  1. Very dry bagels can make things go! Wheels on a cardboard box wagon. Child's play, as in, "DO play with your food."

  2. Here's another: instead of making bagel chips, make bagel Dip Magnets (dip sticks) — slice bagel slices into slim planks, season them for a couple of varieties (garlic, Parmesan, herbs, etc.), toast, enjoy. Serve with dips—a sweetheart of a combo.

  3. Chocolate covered bagel bites. Fill the sandwich with something sweet or peanut-buttery, cut into smaller pieces, and cover in chocolate (dark, milk or white—or artful drizzles of contrasting flavors.

  4. A bagel twist on the classic cheese strata. Make in ramekin, layer bagel slices, cheese, ham, repeat (could add scallions, a sauteed mushroom or two), and cover all with egg custard (milk, eggs, salt, pepper, a drop or two of Tabasco... beaten together). Soak until bagel is soft; bake. Serve hot. Haven't tried freezing this, but it might be a possibility.

  5. An interesting dialogue is price I feel that it is best to write more on this matter, it may not be a taboo topic however usually individuals are not enough to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers.
